The Q8 facelift made its global debut in September last year and gets a mild nip and tuck.
Audi India has released a new teaser, hinting at the launch of an all-new model. The German manufacturer didn’t say much apart from mentioning that it will be a new Q model, implying the launch of an SUV. From the teaser, it seems like the new Q8 facelift is ready to be launched in India.
Eye-catching design. Debuts soon.

The teaser shared by Audi India mostly shows the lighting elements of the new facelifted Q8. The teaser shows the headlights in multiple angles as well as the connected LED taillamps at the back. While the video shared by Audi is dark, it does show the Q8 facelift in its new, signature Sakhir Gold colour as well as the blacked-out single-frame Audi grille.
Not much is known about the India-spec Q8 facelift apart from the fact that it will come with a V6 petrol engine with mild-hybrid assist. It is the same engine as the outgoing version, producing 335 bhp and 500 Nm. Power is sent to all four wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission.
As far as the design goes, not much has changed with the Q8 when it was facelifted in September last year. The exterior had subtle changes but the biggest highlight is the new Matrix LED headlamps with a new DRL signature. Alongside, you get a redesigned front bumper, grille and air intakes. At the rear, the Q8 facelift gets digital OLED lights with four different designs to choose from. And like the Q8 e-tron, the facelifted Q8 also gets Audi’s latest two-dimensional ‘four rings’ logo.
Like the exterior, not much has changed about the interior of the Q8 facelift either. It has slightly different upholstery and new colour options. In terms of features, it gets ADAS, an expanded app store and in-built Spotify and Amazon Music.
The outgoing Q8, which is still available in India, is priced at ₹1.07 - 1.43 crore (ex-showroom, India). Expect the facelifted Q8 to be priced at a slight premium. It will rival the Lexus RX and Mercedes-Benz GLE. We drove the Q8 facelift last year. To know more, read our review here or watch it below.
