Along with the launch of the Creta Electric, Hyundai will showcase the Ioniq 5, Nexo Hydrogen SUV and a mystery car.
Hyundai India has announced that it will launch the new Creta Electric in India on January 17 at the Auto Expo 2025. Furthermore, the South Korean brand will showcase the Ioniq 5, Nexo hydrogen SUV, a mystery car and will have some experience centres.
The Creta Electric made its global debut earlier this year and it is the electric version of Hyundai’s popular compact SUV. It is expected to be priced between ₹16 - 22 lakh (ex-showroom, India). The Creta Electric gets vehicle-to-load (V2L) functionality and Hyundai said it will showcase the V2L capabilities through robotic arms, powered partially by the Creta Electric. Also on display at the Electric portion of the pavilion will be the Ioniq 5 along with a fast charger to showcase the fast charging capabilities of the EV.
Another display at Hyundai India’s pavilion at the Auto Expo 2025 will be the Nexo hydrogen SUV, which will be making a repeat appearance as it was also showcased at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024 and the Auto Expo 2023. However, its India launch still remains uncertain as there is no hydrogen infrastructure in the country. The Nexo will be part of the Alternate Fuel Arena at Hyundai's pavilion.
Hyundai India also mentioned that there will be a “wonder car” at its ‘Impact Zone’. No word on what this mystery car will be but Hyundai hinted it will be a global model. Additionally, the brand will have a special stall showing its range of localised parts and another stall will have a live AI Art and a showcase of Hyundai’s ADAS system.
