Auto Sales August 2023: Hyundai Registers 8.72 Per Cent Sales Growth

Hyundai Motor India Ltd. (HMIL), reported its sales figures for August 2023, showcasing robust performance. In August 2023, the company achieved a total sales figure of 71,435 units, consisting of 53,830 units sold domestically and 17,605 units exported. In the domestic market, Hyundai sold 53,830 units during August 2023, reflecting a noteworthy growth of 8.72 per cent compared to the same month in the previous year. The company's exports for August 2023 were equally impressive, with a total of 17,605 units shipped to international markets. This marked a substantial growth of 38.62 per cent when compared to the previous year.

Tarun Garg, COO, Hyundai Motor India Ltd. said, “HMIL’s August 2023 sales number (Domestic plus Exports) of 71 435 units is a key indicator of an ever-growing acceptance of our products in both domestic and export markets. The festival season in India has kicked off on a positive note with strong Onam sales in the Kerala market and this is an indication of the festive fervour in other parts of the country in the coming months.

When considering the cumulative sales for August 2023, which include both domestic and export figures, Hyundai Motor India Ltd. achieved a growth of 14.82 per cent compared to the same period in the previous year when the company recorded cumulative sales of 62,210 units.
