In the domestic market alone, Suzuki’s sales increased by 14 per cent.
Suzuki India was on quite the roll throughout 2024. After all, the brand registered its 1 lakh cumulative sales for the first time last year and the Access 125 crossed the 6 million production milestone after being in production for 18 years. Complimenting these achievements was the brand’s sales performance in December 2024 which saw Suzuki retail 22 per cent more scooters and motorcycles with 96,804 units retailed, compared to just 79,483 units it retailed in the same month, in 2023.
In the domestic market alone, Suzuki retailed 78,834 units, which was 14 per cent more than the 69,025 units it sold in December 2023. But the biggest achievement has to come from its export business which grew by a massive 72 per cent last year. This translated to exports of 17,970 units, compared to the 10,458 units it exported in December 2023.
Speaking on the occasion of this achievement Devashish Handa, Executive Vice President - Sales, Marketing and After Sales, Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. said, “We have been experiencing consistent year-on-year growth every month and December has been no exception. This reflects the growing preference for our products amongst two-wheeler users and a recognition for the quality of Sales and After Sales experience that our dealerships have been able to provide our customers.”
Suzuki’s positive sales momentum came with its share of good news as well. The brand grew its premium portfolio by launching the V-Strom 800 DE and the GSX-8R. 2025 will also see Suzuki enter the highly contested electric scooter segment, for the brand is working on an electric iteration of the Access 125. But before that, the ICE iteration of the Suzuki Access 125 will also be updated, and you can read all about the same by following the link here.
