Interestingly, EVs contributed a significant share to MG Motor's overall vehicle sales in India.
MG Motor registered a more than 18 percent month-on-month increase in its sales in February 2024. The carmaker retailed 4,532 units last month, compared to 3,825 in January 2024. With this latest achievement, MG Motor has already registered around 14 percent growth in its overall sales in India in the first two months of 2024.
It is worth noting that the carmaker's electric vehicles continue to contribute a significant share of its overall sales. Models such as the Comet and ZS EV accounted for approximately 33 percent of the total units sold in February 2024. To maintain this momentum, MG Motor is also working to improve and expand its EV offerings. The company aims to launch five new cars in India by 2028, and the majority of them will be electric vehicles.
