Passenger vehicles in the domestic market accounted for 137,463 units, down 9.6 per cent.
Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL), has released its sales figures for July 2024. The company sold a total of 175,041 units, comprising domestic sales of 140,354 units, sales to other Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) of 10,702 units, and exports of 23,985 units. These figures reveal significant changes across various segments when compared to the same period last year.
In July 2024, Maruti Suzuki's total domestic sales, including Light Commercial Vehicles (LCVs) and OEM sales, stood at 151,056 units, representing a 5.25 per cent decrease from 159,431 units in July 2023.

Passenger vehicles in the domestic market accounted for 137,463 units, down 9.6 per cent from 152,126 units in July 2023. Within this segment, the mini and compact car categories, which include popular models such as the Alto, S-Presso, Baleno, and Swift, sold a combined total of 68,642 units, marking a 10.5 per cent decline from 76,692 units in the same period last year.
The mid-size category, represented by the Ciaz, saw a substantial drop of 55.3 per cent, with only 603 units sold compared to 1,348 units in July 2023. The utility vehicle segment, comprising models like Brezza, Ertiga, and Grand Vitara, also experienced a decrease, with 56,302 units sold, a 9.3 per cent decline from 62,049 units last year.

Sales of the Eeco van slightly decreased by 1 per cent, with 11,916 units sold compared to 12,037 units in July 2023. Conversely, the Super Carry LCV saw a notable increase of 13 per cent, with 2,891 units sold, up from 2,559 units last year, reflecting stable demand in the commercial segment.
Maruti Suzuki's sales to other OEMs surged to 10,702 units in July 2024, a remarkable 125.5 per cent increase from 4,746 units in July 2023. This significant growth highlights the company's robust production capabilities and its strategic collaborations with other manufacturers.
Export sales also demonstrated positive momentum, with 23,985 units sold in July 2024, up 8.1 per cent from 22,199 units the previous year. This increase underscores Maruti Suzuki's expanding global footprint and the growing acceptance of its vehicles in international markets.

For the financial year 2024-25 to date, Maruti Suzuki has sold a total of 696,909 units, reflecting a 2.5 per cent increase from 679,660 units during the same period last year.
The domestic sales, including LCVs and OEM sales, reached 602,364 units for the year to date, up 1.4 per cent from 594,243 units in the previous financial year. Export sales have shown robust growth, with 94,545 units sold in the current financial year, a 10.7 per cent increase from 85,417 units last year.
