While domestic sales performance has been decent, exports numbers are very impressive

Bajaj Auto Limited shared its sales report for March, 2025 and the performance can be described as decent at the very best. The company sold 3,15,732 units in total which was a marginal 1 per cent gain in sales compared to the corresponding month last year. Domestic sales stood at 1,83,659 units, while export number was 1,32,073 units. The YTD (April-March, 2025) performance was much better as Bajaj clocked close to 4 million units. Exports performed exceptionally well as the company dispatched 16,74,060 units, which is an impressive 13 per cent growth.

Going by the above numbers, it’s clear that Bajaj Auto needs to improve its domestic sales as exports have been churning out great numbers. The brand had a busy last year as it introduced new products, especially in the Pulsar family and also the world’s first CNG bike - Bajaj Freedom. Bajaj Pulsar sales have been good and recently the company announced that it has crossed the 2 crore sales landmark for its most popular motorcycle.

On the other end of the spectrum, Bajaj has helped KTM kickstart production at its plant in Austria and it might also take over the brand as it already has a significant stake in the company. In the EV space, the Bajaj Chetak is the king of the segment and has been raking in strong sales and the new 35 Series will only further strengthen its position in the electric scooter segment.
