The brand’s 100-125 cc scooters and motorcycles were again primarily responsible for the increased sales.
Hero MotoCorp has announced that its sales increased by 18 per cent in October 2024 compared to October 2023. Last month, Hero retailed a total of 6,35,787 scooters and motorcycles in both domestic and international markets, compared to 5,29,341 units it retailed in the corresponding month of the previous year. The brand cited its 100-125 cc range of scooters and motorcycles as primarily responsible for this increased sales. This shouldn’t come as a surprise, for the newly launched Hero Xtreme 125R has been off to a pretty good start. So much so that even after producing 10,000 units per month, Hero MotoCorp is struggling with demand for the Xtreme 125R.
Along with new product launches, festive-centric initiatives like the “Grand Indian Festival Of Trust” (GIFT) and “Shubh Muhurat Aaya, Hero Saath Laya” offered customers attractive offers and benefits to opt for a Hero two-wheeler during the festive month. Hero expanded its premium dealership network to over 50 “Premia” outlets nationwide, which further helped it garner more sales. Furthermore, the brand aims to increase this number to 100 Premia showrooms by March this year. Its exports also increased from 15,164 units in October 2023 to 21,688 units in October 2024.
Hero MotoCorp is slated to launch a slew of new motorcycles at the 2024 EICMA. The Hero XPulse 210 and a bigger Xtreme 250R are two of the most highly anticipated models from the brand. Additionally, its fully electric sub-brand, Vida, will also reveal two new electric bikes, both of which have already been showcased earlier.
