Lexus reported a 23 per cent year-on-year growth in demand for its SUV models for the calendar year up to September 2024.
Lexus India has announced a 10 per cent increase in sales for the calendar year through September 2024, compared to the same period in 2023. In addition, the luxury automaker reported an 8 per cent quarter-on-quarter sales growth for the second quarter of FY 2024-25 over the first quarter.
Tanmay Bhattacharya, Executive Vice President of Lexus India said, “Our quarter-on-quarter sales growth underscores our commitment to delivering exceptional products and experiences to all our guests. As we enter the festive season, we are excited to build on this momentum and anticipate even greater enthusiasm from our guests. To enhance their experience, Lexus India is extending festive benefits, making this a promising and exciting time for the brand.”
A key driver of this success has been the locally manufactured Lexus ES sedan, which remains the brand's top seller, contributing to 52 per cent of overall sales. In a further boost to this popular model, Lexus launched the ES Luxury Plus Edition in September 2024, aiming to broaden its appeal with enhanced features. Lexus also reported a 23 per cent year-on-year growth in demand for its SUV models for the calendar year up to September 2024, driven primarily by its RX and NX models. In particular, the NX 350h Overtrail contributed significantly to this growth.
