The world’s first CNG motorcycle will be available in three variants.
Bajaj has finally launched the world's first CNG motorcycle thus ushering in a unique proposition for commuter motorcycle buyers. The newly launched Freedom 125 NG04 with its hybrid 2-litre petrol and 2 kg CNG tank setup is good for a combined range of 330 km — making it quite the workhorse in the segment.
Bajaj has launched the Freedom 125 NG04 in three variants. The primary differences between them lie in the lighting setup and braking equipment. So, the base-spec Freedom 125 NG04 gets drum brakes on both wheels with a halogen headlamp. The mid variant is available with drum brakes too, but with the addition of an LED headlight. The top variant gets the benefit of both LED headlamp and disc brakes (on the front wheel only).
Aside from these primary differences, all three variants are differentiated by the dual-tone colour option. The top-spec variant is available with Caribbean Blue, Pewter Grey-Black and Cyber White. The last option is shared with the mid variant, which also gets Ebony Black-Grey and Racing Red colour options. The base variant gets just two colour options - Ebony Black-Grey and Racing Red colour.
Besides the above differences, all three Bajaj CNG bikes carry forward the same set of feature lists as well. While all three variants are available with a fully-digital reverse LCD screen, Bluetooth connectivity is available with the top variant only. This should further get you the usual benefits of call/SMS alerts, and other connectivity features.
Bookings for the CNG bike began today, with a gradual rollout plan. Initial availability will be in Maharashtra and Gujarat, then expanding to Delhi-NCR before reaching other regions. The top-tier disc brake model with LED lights will be delivered first, followed by the mid-range drum brake LED version. The entry-level model is scheduled for release in the subsequent quarter.
