BattRE Electric Mobility has officially launched its highly anticipated Storie EPIC series electric scooter in India, marking a significant milestone in the company's mission to promote sustainable mobility. The Storie EPIC series scooter is priced at ₹84,999, making it an attractive option for those looking for a reliable and eco-friendly scooter without breaking the bank. With an IDC range of 103 km on a single charge, this is a decent offering at that price tag.
BattRE Storie Epic scooter has a usual scooter design, with a focus on durability. The scooter features metal panels which would be cheaper to fix in a drop and would also not break that easily. Most design elements are round and flowing. It reminds me of the scooters from yesteryear. The design is further enhanced by 12 vibrant colour options.

The BattRE Storie Epic scooter is equipped with a durable IP67-rated 60V 40Ah battery, which provides an IDC range of 103 km on a single charge. The battery can be fully charged in 5 hours. The scooter is powered by a 2kW motor, enabling it to achieve a top speed of 65 kmph. Additionally, the battery is a removable unit, allowing users to charge it on the scooter or at home, according to their preference. The battery also comes with a 3-year or 30,000 km warranty, providing added peace of mind for users. The company has suggested a battery life of 1200 charge cycles.

The company claims that the BattRE Storie Epic scooter has comfortable ergonomics. The scooter features a spacious 600 mm footboard, which can be utilised for carrying cargo or luggage, adding to its practicality. In terms of weight, the scooter itself weighs 106 kg and has a payload capacity of 257 kg, hinting at its potential for slight commercial use, such as deliveries or cargo transport but the design says otherwise. Underseat storage does not seem to be generous either.
Features are pretty basic on this scooter with a 3.25” LCD Screen digital instrument cluster with an IP65 rating. There is no connectivity on offer. The display has information like distance to empty, battery temperature indication display, and time to charge indication. The headlight is a halogen unit whereas the tail light gets an LED setup.
The BattRE Storie Epic scooter price point of ₹84,999 may be perceived as slightly steep when compared to offerings from more established players, which provide additional features, superior brand value, and comparable performance at a similar or lower price point.
