The BMW CE 02 will be the brand’s second fully-electric offering in the country after the CE 04.
After the CE 04, BMW has now introduced its second fully-electric offering to the Indian market with the new CE 02. This release has been anticipated for over a year now, given that TVS has been manufacturing the BMW CE 02 at its Hosur facility for export markets. The platform underpinning the CE 02 was jointly developed by BMW and TVS, with the latter also utilising it for their TVS X model.
The BMW CE 02 is designed primarily for urban use, emphasising practicality alongside a futuristic and rugged aesthetic. Built around a double-loop steel frame, supported by an upside-down telescopic fork in the front and adjustable shock absorbers at the rear. The scooter runs on 14-inch wheels at both ends, fitted with disc brakes and dual-channel ABS as standard.

In terms of performance, the BMW CE 02 comes with two battery options. The primary configuration includes a 2 kWh battery paired with an 11 kW electric motor, offering a range of 90 km and a top speed of 95 kmph. A single-battery variant is also available, providing a 45 km range and a maximum speed of 45 kmph.
As for pricing, industry expectations place the BMW CE 02 in the premium segment, with estimates ranging from ₹5 lakh to ₹5.50 lakh. At this price point, the CE 02 would occupy a unique position in the electric mobility market, facing little direct competition in its category.
