BMW has not yet announced market-specific details for the F 450 RR, but we expect the India launch in 2027.

BMW has unveiled the F 450 RR, a supersport motorcycle developed for its F 450 family. The new BMW supersport is the replacement for the BMW G 310 RR and is the third bike in the new F 450 family after the F 450 GS and the recently unveiled BMW F 450 R. It’s based on its streetfighter sibling and features the same engine and underpinnings.

The F 450 RR’s styling takes cues from the flagship BMW S 1000 RR. Its nose-down stance, raised tail, winglets and signature RR flyline give it a forward-leaning profile. The front features a split face and a vertically staked LED headlight with a distinctive daytime running light design. Asymmetrical side panels and gills on the right side will remind enthusiasts of the Gen 1 BMW S 1000 RR. A 6.5-inch TFT display is standard. It supports phone calls, music and navigation while riding via Bluetooth connectivity. M Sport versions with Riding Modes Pro get three additional sport screens showing information such as lean angle, braking force and a lap timer.

The riding position is sporty, with clip-on handlebars attached to a forged-aluminium triple clamp. BMW says the tank and bodywork are shaped to offer support and help riders grip the bike with their knees. The two-piece seat is 790 mm high. Accessories include a sport seat that raises the seat by 20 mm and a low seat that lowers it by 15 mm. Heated grips are standard, and the gearshift pattern can be reversed for track riding.

The F 450 RR is powered by a 420 cc, fuel-injected parallel-twin engine producing 48.7 bhp at 8,750rpm and 43 Nm of torque at 6,750rpm. A 135-degree crankpin offset and balance shaft are designed to give the engine a distinctive character while keeping vibration in check. BMW says 80 per cent of the available torque is accessible from 3,000 rpm. The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox Shift Assistant Pro allows clutch-free upshifts and downshifts. It is standard on all variants except the Base, where it can be added as an option.

An optional Easy Ride Clutch (ERC) automatically operates the clutch according to engine speed. It is intended to make low-speed riding and manoeuvring easier, while also allowing clutch-free gear changes when paired with Shift Assistant Pro. With its 14-litre fuel tank, the F 450 RR is claimed to offer a range of more than 350 km and the service interval is 10,000 km.

The BMW F 450 RR uses a welded steel tubular space frame, with the engine integrated as a load-bearing element. The bike rides on cast-aluminium wheels with tubeless tyres measuring 110/70-17 at the front and 150/60-17 at the rear.

Suspension comprises a 43 mm KYB upside-down fork and a KYB rear shock connected to an aluminium hollow-cast swingarm. The rear shock offers adjustable spring preload and rebound damping. On the Sport suspension, the front fork also gets adjustable rebound and compression damping. Braking is handled by a 310 mm front disc with a Brembo four-piston caliper and a 240 mm rear disc with a ByBre caliper. Standard safety systems include ABS Pro, which supports braking while leaned over, along with Dynamic Brake Control, Dynamic Traction Control and engine drag torque control. Rain, Road and Race riding modes are standard; Riding Modes Pro adds a configurable Race Pro mode.

BMW will offer the F 450 RR in four equipment variants. The Base comes in Cosmic Black. The Sport, finished in Racing Red, adds Shift Assistant Pro and Sport suspension. The M Sport gets Riding Modes Pro, Shift Assistant Pro and Sport suspension, with Snaefell White and M Motorsport detailing. The range-topping M Sport with Innovation Package adds the Easy Ride Clutch. BMW has not yet announced prices or market-specific launch details for the F 450 RR but we expect the bike to make its India debut in the first half of 2027. The expected pricing is around ₹4.50-4.80 lakh (ex-showroom).
