Just like the BMW R 1300 GS, the new GSA has become lighter and more powerful than before.
Adventure enthusiasts in India rejoice! BMW India just released the first teaser for the R 1300 GS Adventure thereby confirming that the big adventure bike will launch in the country soon While we are still awaiting an official launch date, with the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 right around the corner we think BMW India is going to use the auto show to usher in its most capable adventure bike in the country.
Built on the same platform as the latest BMW R 1300 GS, this new adventure variant maintains the powerful 145 bhp twin-cylinder boxer engine that delivers 149 Nm of torque. The engine is now more compact in design which was achieved by repositioning the transmission box and camshaft drive beneath it. A new knock sensor system has also been added to keep it from stalling which should improve the ride quality across varied riding conditions. And last but not the least, the R 1300 GS Adventure will also debut BMW's new automatic transmission system in the country, which the brand calls Automated Shift Assistant.
The BMW R 1300 GS Adventure features significant chassis improvements, including a steel sheet metal main frame and aluminium rear frame. And in a typical GS Adventure style, the new R 1300 GS Adventure will continue to feature a massive 30-litre tank. These modifications will now be complemented by the new army tank-like design, which will definitely help its case with quite the imposing stance.
The suspension system combines an EVO Telelever front setup with a revised EVO Paralever rear system, enhancing stability and steering precision. The Electronic Dynamic Suspension Adjustment comes standard, with optional adaptive height control available.
The R 1300 GS Adventure gets a host of modern features including four riding modes, matrix LED headlights with auxiliary lights, and Dynamic Cruise Control with braking functionality. A 6.5-inch TFT display manages the bike's various functions, while heated grips and keyless ignition are now included as standard features.
The motorcycle is available globally in various colour schemes including Racing Red, Triple Black, GS Trophy, and Option 719 Karakorum. Will BMW bring all these colour options to India or just a few, that remains to be seen. With all the updates the asking price of the new BMW R 1300 GS Adventure will increase. So it will be more than the ₹22.50 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the R 1250 GS Adventure was currently sold at.
