Unofficial bookings for the new BMW R 1300 GS have already commenced across the country before.
Adventure touring fans, brace yourselves! BMW is gearing up to launch its biggest GS motorcycle in India - the all-new R 1300 GS. Set for launch on June 13, unofficial bookings have already opened at BMW dealerships nationwide. Eager buyers can reserve their spot by paying a token amount ranging from ₹50,000 to ₹1,00,000.
The upcoming R 1300 GS will flaunt a completely revamped look while staying true to that iconic GS silhouette we all know and love. But it's not just about aesthetics – BMW has equipped this beast with a new mainframe and die-cast aluminum subframe, making the 2024 R 1300 GS more compact and lighter than its predecessor by 12 kg.
Nestled around an all-new 1,300 cc, twin-cylinder boxer engine that churns out 145 bhp and 149 Nm of torque, mated to a slick 6-speed gearbox. Interestingly, despite the increased displacement, BMW claims the overall engine is more compact, further aiding weight reduction.
But that's not all – the R 1300 GS will be loaded with cutting-edge features, including a radar-based rider assist system. This innovative tech will debut lane change warning, front collision warning, radar-based adaptive cruise control, and more, taking your adventure to new heights.
Stay tuned as we're in Leh to experience how the new BMW R 1300 GS takes on the Himalayas. Our review report goes live soon on the Acko Drive website.
