Ducati has revealed a very special motorcycle called the Panigale V4 Tricolore Italia. This exclusive bike celebrates the MotoGP factory team’s 1-2 victory at the Mugello circuit last year. What makes this motorcycle truly special is its extreme rarity - only 163 units will ever be produced worldwide. Even this number is very well thought of, where “1” is because Peco is the champion and 63 was his older racing number.
The new Panigale V4 Tricolore Italia is based on the Panigale V4 S model. The blue and white livery design was again directly lifted off from the Desmosedici GP24 racing bike. Beyond its appearance, Ducati has also used several racing components, some of which have been used from Ducati's competition machines.

For starters, the Tricolore Italia comes equipped with Brembo’s high-performance Front Brake Pro+ GP4 Sport Production brake calipers. It comes paired with special T-drive cooling discs that measure up to 338 mm. This makes it the largest disc brake ever found on any production motorcycle and Ducati has been using it on its WorldSBK bikes.
Weight reduction was clearly a priority here, so the bike features carbon fibre wheels that save nearly 1 kg of unsprung mass compared to the standard forged wheels on the Panigale V4 S. Overall, the special edition weighs 188 kg (without fuel), i.e. 3 kg lighter than the standard bike which weighs just 191 kg. Along with that, the windscreen is also made out of plexiglass, the same as the race bike, plus a racing fuel cap, and the seat has an Alcantara leather cover.

Each of these bikes will come with a premium aluminium steering head with a unique identification number engraved on it. This information also appears on the digital display when starting the motorcycle, so you have a dedicated graphic too. Lastly, the steering head also has an engraving of the Mugello Circuit layout and Pecco’s impressive lap time of 1:45.770.
Mechanically, the bike uses the same powerful 1,103 cc V4 engine as the standard model, producing 216 bhp at 13,500 rpm and 120.9 Nm of torque at 11,250 rpm. The exclusive Ducati motorcycle comes equipped with a 6-speed gearbox and a bi-directional quickshifter.
Ducati hasn’t revealed the pricing of the bike yet, but if you’re planning to buy one, pricing wouldn’t be of much concern. However, for reference, Ducati recently launched the standard Panigale V4 and V4 S models in India, priced at ₹30 lakh and ₹36 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), respectively. But if you’re wondering if Ducati India will launch the Panigale V4 Tricolore Italia in India, then don’t keep any hopes for all units have already been accounted for.
