The Storm EV is also the brand’s first electric commercial four-wheeler.
Euler Motors has ventured into the much coveted commercial four-wheeler segment with the launch of the Storm EV. It is available in two distinct variants - T1250 and LR (Long Range) - priced at ₹8.99 lakh and ₹12.99 lakh, respectively. Bookings for the same have already commenced, and deliveries will start by the end of this year.
Both are built on a completely new platform, which the brand is called Skateboard chassis. Along with that, the new Storm EV is also the first-of-its-kind 4W Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) that is available with ADAS functionalities, with quite the modern and tech-rich interior.
Starting with the heart, both the Euler Storm T1250 and LR variants features a 30 kWh battery pack with liquid-cooled technology paired to a 35 kW electric motor that produces 140 Nm. In the T1250, the battery is good enough for 140 km and in the latter, the same has been tuned to deliver 200 km of range on a single charge.
On the performance front, the Euler Storm EVs get three drive modes – Range, Thunder, and Rhino. The first is an eco mode, the second is for quick bursts of power to overtake slow moving traffic on highways, while the last mode is exclusively for any uphill climb. The top speed for both the Euler T1250 and LR variants are capped off at 70 kmph only.
The Euler Storm EVs are the first 4W LCV to be available with ADAS features. So, it gets a front and reverse camera collision alert, and Night Vision Assist (NVA). The latter is quite the unique introduction in the LCV segment that uses the front camera to see through dark alleys clearly. Besides that, the Euler Storm EVs come with LED headlights as standard with sequential indicators. The latter also doubles up as a state-of-charge indicator.
But one of the most thoughtful features inside the Storm EV cabin has to be the inclusion of an air-conditioning system that is available with the Euler Storm EV LR variant only as standard.
The Euler Storm EV is available with the choice of two chargers. There’s a 3.3 kW charger along with a 6.6 kW option. The former can charge the battery fully in just 6 hours, while the latter takes 4 hours to do the same. Moreover, Euler claims that 100 km of range can be achieved using a fast charger in just 15 minutes.
However, some of the most significant features of the Euler Storm EVs are inside the cabin. Starting with the 10.2-inch infotainment display that runs the brand’s in-house Chimera infotainment system. This comes with integrated navigation and an entertainment hub. Additionally, the infotainment system also gets integrated WhatsApp with maps which allows the driver to share his current location.
The design of the Euler Storm EVs are inspired from a tiger, just like its electric three-wheeler, the HiLoad EV. It can be had with different cab-bodies with capacity ranging from 220 cubic feet to 260 cubic feet. To accommodate this load effectively, Euler has also engineered the suspension accordingly. So, while the T1250 gets 2 parabolic leaf springs and a 7 leaf spring for the rear, the LR variant gets 3 parabolic leaf springs at the front and 8 leaf springs for the rear.
Additionally, the Euler Storm EVs are also available with a digital lock, and for the first time a unique CCTV 24x7 monitoring system that uses the front and rear camera.
Lastly, the Euler Storm EVs' warranty program further makes them a long-lasting product. The Storm EVs are available with an extended warranty of 7 years/ 2 lakh km.
