While both look very similar and are based on the same platform, both have some key differences.
Citroën has just unveiled the C3 Aircross for the European market and it looks very similar to the C3 Aircross available in India. However, there are some key differences between the two C3 Aircross models. Let’s have a look at what’s changed.
Only exterior images of the European-spec C3 Aircross have been shared by C3 Aircross. These images reveal that both models get starkly different fascia with the EU model getting Citroën’s new grille that was revealed in 2022. Along with that, the EU model also gets a different design for the black panel connecting the headlamps. Granted Citroën UK has only shared images of the ë-C3 Aircross, the grille has more closed-off elements than the India-spec model.
The headlamps of the two C3 Aircross models are also quite different. In Europe, the C3 Aircross gets LED headlamps in a C-shape housing with three sets of LED DRLs, while in India, it gets halogen lamps with a Y-shape signature for the LED DRLs. Additionally, the EU-spec C3 Aircross also gets a slightly different bumper but the foglamps are mounted in the same place.

In profile, the Indian-spec model gets twin, four-spoke alloy wheels and flip-up type door handles, while the European-spec model gets a snowflake-like alloy wheel design and pull-type door handles. The EU-spec model also gets colour clips on the front bumper and rear doors that Citroën says can be customised.
At the back, the C3 Aircross in Europe gets different taillamps than the C3 Aircross in India. While the basic design is the same, the European model gets more sophisticated lighting elements. The taillamps are also connected by a thicker piano black bar on the EU-spec model. Furthermore, the tailgate on the Indian model is straighter, flatter and longer than the European model.
Another key difference between the two compact SUVs is the choice of powertrain options on both. In India, Citroën only offers a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox. On the other hand, the European model will get a choice of petrol, hybrid and electric powertrains but details are yet to be revealed.
