Going by the design, the Pulsar N125 test mule looked a lot like the first-gen Bajaj Pulsar NS125.
2024 has turned out to be quite the crucial year for Bajaj. It all started with the global launch of the biggest Pulsar yet, aka the Pulsar NS400Z, followed by a thorough update of the entire Pulsar portfolio with new modern equipment and revised aesthetics. However, the brand is not done yet.
For we recently spotted a test mule of another new Pulsar. Going by the looks, it looked like a new entry-level Pulsar model, and it might be a 125 cc offering for its body design is reminiscent of the first-gen Bajaj Pulsar NS125.
The Pulsar NS125 has already undergone a generational upgrade, and the current Bajaj Pulsar NS125 looks exactly like its elder sibling the Bajaj Pulsar NS200. The test mule that we spotted, therefore, seems will be an extension of the Bajaj Pulsar N series. So, going by that logic, we might be looking at the upcoming Bajaj Pulsar N125.
The Bajaj Pulsar N125 will most likely be powered by the same 124.5 cc engine which is also available with the Bajaj Pulsar NS125. This mill is good for 11.82 bhp and 11 Nm, and comes paired to a 5-speed gearbox in the NS, whether Bajaj retains the same tune and set-up or not remains to be seen.
As for its frame, we expect the bike to be built around a diamond-type frame that underpins other Pulsar models too. The frame will be suspended by telescopic fork and monoshock absorbers while braking duties will be taken care of by a single disc brake for the front wheel, and a drum brake for the rear.
Beyond that, expect to see the same fully digital LCD instrument cluster that Bajaj recently introduced with the Pulsar 150. This unit supports Bluetooth connectivity, which in turn should also get you call/SMS alert and access to a plethora of information as well, via Bajaj’s app.
As is the case with the NS and N series, the upcoming Bajaj Pulsar N125 is expected to slot above the current Bajaj Pulsar NS125. Due to this, we can expect it to be priced between ₹90,000-₹95,000 (ex-showroom). As for its launch, now that we have spotted the test mule, we expect Bajaj to launch this new entry-level 125 cc Pulsar by July end.
