Atul Auto and Exponent Energy will deploy 15,000 rapid-charging electric three-wheelers, combining fast 15-minute charging tech with OEM integration to boost efficiency, uptime and EV adoption.
Atul Auto and Exponent Energy have announced a strategic partnership to develop and deploy rapid-charging electric three-wheelers for the passenger segment. As part of the collaboration, the two companies have committed to deploying at least 15,000 Exponent-powered vehicles over the next three years, marking one of the largest scale-ups of fast-charging EVs in this category.
Under the agreement, Atul Auto’s three-wheelers will be integrated with Exponent Energy’s OTO platform, which combines battery systems, powertrain technology and vehicle software into a unified architecture. While the platform has already been validated through retrofit applications, this partnership will extend its use to factory-integrated vehicles.

Exponent’s proprietary technology enables rapid charging in 15 minutes, while also supporting compatibility with standard public and home charging infrastructure. The system is backed by a warranty of up to 2 lakh km, addressing concerns around durability and lifecycle costs in commercial operations.
The companies say the integration is expected to improve vehicle uptime, reduce operating costs and enhance earning potential for operators. In addition, Exponent’s recently introduced financing platform, Exponent One, will support adoption through financing, insurance and buyback solutions.
Through this partnership, both companies aim to accelerate electric mobility adoption in the three-wheeler segment by combining established manufacturing capabilities with fast-charging technology.
