Ola had dropped to third spot in December as it had a very slow end to 2024
It seems the service and quality-related adversities have not affected Ola Electric as much in January 2025, as the Bengaluru-based electric company has once again climbed up to the top spot in the FADA EV Sales for the month. TVS is a close second, though, with December 2024’s top players Bajaj in third. Here’s how all of the electric two-wheeler players fared:
While each electric marque has improved its performance from December 2024, Ola has made the most impact by selling almost double the units last month than prior. The further streamlining of the product range with the third-gen Ola S1 e-scooter range should help matters for the company. Also, the Roadster and Roadster X motorcycle series will be arriving shortly to further boost the company’s sales performance.
TVS has been a steady second. The iQube series of e-scooters have been performing quite well and the vast range of options suiting various range requirements is definitely a bonus. In fact, the difference between Ola and TVS was around 500 units.
December’s leaders Bajaj have slipped down to third, some 3000 units behind Ola. The Chetak 35 series of e-scooters have begun reaching the market and we can expect Bajaj to be playing it smartly for the long run. Here’s more details on the refreshed Chetaks.
Ather happens to be a distant fourth but there is good news for the company that is seeking its IPO soon. It has been constantly improving its monthly performance and the Rizta happens to be a hot seller. It has struck quite a good chord with the Indian audiences who want a sophisticated and smart family e-scooter. No wonder then it was also crowned the Scooter of the Year at the 2025 Acko Drive Awards.
