In an eagerly anticipated event, Fisker Inc. unveiled an impressive line-up of upcoming all-electric vehicles, along with a comprehensive sustainability vision, at its inaugural Product Vision Day. The company displayed a range of prototypes- including an SUV (Fisker Pear), a sports sedan (FIsker Ronin), an off-roader (Fisker Force-E), and a pick-up truck (Fisker Alaska). The event, held in Huntington Beach, California, was attended by investors, analysts, employees, and media personnel, who were treated to a glimpse of Fisker's ambitious plans for the future. Henrik Fisker, Chairman and CEO of Fisker Inc., revealed four exciting new EVs.
First up, is the Fisker Ronin, an all-electric four-door convertible GT sports car. With a carbon fibre, hard-top convertible, butterfly doors, and futuristic design elements, the Ronin embodies a blend of high-tech luxury and sleek aesthetics. It boasts an integrated battery pack that propels it to a targeted range of over 965 km. The triple-motor all-wheel-drive powertrain is projected to churn out a staggering 1,000+ bhp, enabling 0-100 kmph acceleration in approximately 2 seconds.
Next up in Fisker's vision of sustainable EVs is the Fisker PEAR. Built on the SLV-1 platform and adopting the Steel++ development process, the Pear utilises 35 per cent fewer parts compared to other EVs in its class. Notable features include the Houdini Trunk, which serves as a hideaway liftgate, and the Froot (front boot) for cargo loading in urban settings. The Pear is designed for the mass market, featuring a compact body with spacious and modular interiors for up to six passengers. It is expected to be available in mid-2025, with pricing starting at $29,900 (approx. Rs. 24.77 lakh).
Third on the list is the Fisker Alaska, an all-electric four-door pickup truck. Based on the FT31 platform derived from the Fisker Ocean, Alaska promises a sporty driving experience coupled with utility capabilities. The cargo bed can be extended from 4.5 feet to 7.5 feet to 9.2 feet, and a Houdini bed divider offers added flexibility. Striving for sustainability, Alaska aims to be the world's lightest EV pickup truck. Sharing design DNA with the Fisker Ocean, Alaska is projected to offer a range of 370-547 km and is slated for deliveries in 2025, with prices starting at $45,400 (approx. Rs. 37.61 lakh).
Lastly, Fisker also introduced the Force E package for the Fisker Ocean SUV, catering to sustainable off-roading enthusiasts. The package maximizes the Ocean's torque and range for off-road adventures, featuring specialized components such as 33-inch tyres on 20-inch wheels, heightened ground clearance, dampers, a roof basket, skid plates, and an underbody plate for durability. Available for both all-wheel drive Ultra and Extreme trims, the Force E package is scheduled to be released in Q1 2024.
