Fourth-Gen Maruti Suzuki Dzire Fuel Efficiency Figures Revealed

During the unveiling of the new, fourth-gen Dzire, Maruti Suzuki revealed the fuel efficiency figures of its subcompact SUV. The new Dzire will be available with a petrol engine as well as a factory-fitted CNG kit. 

The new Dzire will get the same 1.2-litre, three-cylinder, Z-Series petrol as the Swift, producing 80 bhp and 112 Nm. It comes with a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT gearbox. The petrol manual powertrain returns 24.79 kmpl, while the petrol AMT powertrain has a fuel efficiency of 25.71 kmpl.

It also comes with a factory-fitted CNG kit with this petrol engine. The CNG produces 69 bhp and 102 Nm and only comes with a 5-speed manual transmission. It has a fuel efficiency of 33.73 km/kg. 

Prices for the new Dzire will be announced on November 11, and it is expected to be priced at a slight premium compared to the outgoing model (₹6.56 – 9.23 lakh). Once launched, it will rival the upcoming third-gen Honda Amaze, Tata Tigor and Hyundai Aura.
