GoPro on Wednesday launched the upgraded MAX 360 camera. The new camera brings a significant advancement in immersive video, offering creators greater control over their content with AI editing.
The new MAX camera gets exceptional video quality with 5.6K resolution capability through its dual-lens system. Users can also convert their footage into 4K videos while maintaining creative control over viewing angles after recording. For traditional filming needs, the camera supports 1440p single-lens recording with various digital lens options including Narrow, Linear, Wide, and Max SuperView.
The GoPro MAX 360 will reach Indian consumers in April 2025, at a retail price of Rs 38,500. The device will be available through major online platforms including Amazon.in and Flipkart, as well as physical retail outlets. Buyers in the US can currently purchase the device directly through GoPro.com.
Built to withstand challenging environments, the MAX features robust construction with waterproof capabilities up to 16 feet. The device incorporates six strategically placed microphones that effectively reduce wind interference while capturing good audio quality. The inclusion of an Enduro battery ensures reliable performance in cold conditions, while 1/4-20 mounting threads provide versatile attachment options.
The revamped Quik App experience introduces editing capabilities powered by artificial intelligence (AI). The software package includes advanced object tracking, precise keyframing tools, and one-touch cinematic effects through CameraFX. Content creators can se automatic transitions for polished edits and access a new frame grab feature for extracting high-quality still images from video footage.
"MAX never misses—and that’s why it’s the go-to 360 camera for the world’s most creative athletes, adventurers, and content creators. Getting ‘the shot’ has never been this easy.
"And with the Quik App’s new 360 editing experience, featuring AI-powered Object Tracking and intuitive yet powerful editing tools, transforming your footage into amazing shareable moments has never been more seamless or fun. And this is just the beginning. We’re committed to rolling out powerful new app features consistently, pushing the GoPro 360 experience further than ever this year," GoPro Founder and CEO, Nicholas Woodman, said in a statement.
