Google has released teaser videos showcasing the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro Fold.
Google has officially teased its upcoming flagship devices, the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro Fold, ahead of its highly anticipated "Made By Google" event scheduled for August 13, 2024. The Cupertino giant released teaser videos showcasing the design and key features of both devices, ending months of speculation and leaks. Both devices are set to be integrated with Google's Gemini AI capabilities.

The teasers reveal that the Pixel 9 Pro, the successor to last year's Pixel 8 Pro, has a refined design and a distinctive camera setup. It has a visor-like raised rear camera island housing a pill-shaped black module with three horizontally arranged sensors. Outside of this module, an LED flash unit and a temperature sensor are visible. The camera island appears to have a textured finish, adding a unique touch to the device's aesthetics.

In addition, Google confirmed the name of its second foldable smartphone, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. It is showcased in an off-white colour reminiscent of Google's signature Porcelain finish and features a prominent rectangular camera bump with vertically arranged lenses in a dual-level design. The teaser also gives a glimpse of the external display with a hole-punch cutout and the hinge mechanism.
While detailed specifications are yet to be officially confirmed, rumors suggest that the Pixel 9 Pro will be powered by Google's Tensor G4 chipset and feature a 4,558mAh battery with at least 25W fast charging support. The camera system is expected to include a 50-megapixel main sensor, and 50-megapixel ultrawide and telephoto lenses.
The Made by Google event is scheduled for August 13, 2024, at 10 AM PT (10:30 PM IST) and will be livestreamed on YouTube and the Google Store website.
Google has also confirmed that the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro Fold will be available in India, launching on August 14, a day after the global event. It marks the first time Google's foldable smartphone will be available in the country, where it will compete with the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6, Vivo X Fold3 Pro and OnePlus Open.
