Honda has unveiled the redesigned 2027 CBR1000RR-R Fireblade series at the EICMA 2026 motorcycle show in Milan, Italy. Marking a comprehensive overhaul rather than a minor cosmetic update, approximately 75 per cent of the litre-class supersport's components have been newly developed. The updated family introduces a three-variant structure comprising the standard CBR1000RR-R Fireblade, the track-focused Fireblade SP, and the brand-new Fireblade HRC Works Edition carrying Honda Racing Corporation's racing identity.
Structural changes form the core of the 2027 Fireblade redesign, aimed at enhancing handling precision and track competitiveness. The superbike receives a redesigned aluminium twin-tube frame alongside an updated swingarm. Additionally, the 2027 Fireblade series is distinguished by Honda's new Flagship WING emblem, a premium badge reserved exclusively for the manufacturer's flagship internal combustion supersport offerings.

The motorcycle retains its 999.9 cc four-cylinder engine, which delivers 212 bhp at 14,000 rpm and 114 Nm of torque at 10,500 rpm. Midrange power is enhanced without losing top-speed performance thanks to a dual-stage Variable Air Funnel system, complemented by an updated valve train, optimised cam timing, and an increased compression ratio. Weight-saving and premium components include a lighter crankcase, magnesium covers, and a streamlined titanium Akrapovič exhaust.
The addition of the HRC Works Edition expands Honda's top-tier supersport lineup, catering directly to track-day enthusiasts and racing teams. Complete technical specifications, variant-wise feature differences, and launch timelines for the Indian market are expected to be announced by Honda in the coming months.
