Test rides for the Harley-Davidson X440 will commence from September 1
Hero MotoCorp has announced that online bookings for the recently launched Harley-Davidson X440 will close on August 3. This comes after the homegrown two-wheeler giant claims to have received a highly positive response in customer bookings since the bike’s launch on July 3.
The company also stated that production for the X440 will commence in September from Hero’s Garden Factory at Neemrana, Rajasthan. Those interested in taking a test ride of the most affordable Harley-Davidson bike ever to go on sale in India can do so from September 1. Deliveries for the X440 will begin in October and would be on a prioritised basis as per booking dates.
Niranjan Gupta, Chief Executive Officer, Hero MotoCorp said, “It is heartening to see the increasing inflow of enquiries and bookings for Harley-Davidson X440. The volume so far has surpassed our expectations and we have reached a point where we have decided to close the online booking channel temporarily. As we prepare for production and deliveries of Harley-Davidson X440, we are confident of offering an exceptional riding experience to the customers with best-in-class power, performance, and value proposition.”
Hero MotoCorp hasn’t revealed any particular timeline as to when the bookings for Harley-Davison X440 will resume post-August 3rd. However, the company is currently ramping up production capacity to meet the demand for the newest Harley-Davidson in India. Once the date is announced in the near future, expect prices to go up as well.
Till then, the newest baby Harley can be booked for an amount of Rs 5,000. The main competitors for the Harley-Davidson X440 are the recently launched Triumph Speed 400, Honda CB350 and Royal Enfield Classic 350.
