It is a limited time period offer for just the mid-spec variant
Harley-Davidson has announced a price cut for its entry-level cruiser, the X440. The company is offering a significant discount on the mid-spec variant of the motorcycle in a bid to boost sales.
The mid-spec Vivid variant is now available with a substantial ₹ 15,000 cash discount, now priced at ₹ 2.45 lakh (ex-showroom India). This limited-time offer applies until stocks last. There is no definite date as such with only limited stock available with the dealers across the country.

While the Vivid variant misses out on some premium features like diamond-cut alloy wheels and e-SIM connectivity offered on the top-spec S model, it still offers a compelling package with its neo-retro design, feature-rich instrument cluster, and comfortable riding ergonomics. It is the variant that we recommend, know why in our review here: Harley-Davidson X440 Review - A Hero-ic Effort!
Powered by a 440cc air-cooled engine producing 27 bhp and 38 Nm, the Harley-Davidson X440 offers a good balance of exciting performance and calm riding. The Harley-Davidson X440 features a trellis frame that has a KYB USD front fork and dual rear springs. It comes with 18-/17-inch alloy wheels while braking duties are handled by single discs at both ends. Weighing in at 190.5 kg, the roadster has a fuel tank capacity of 13.5 litres.

With this discount, Harley-Davidson aims to attract more buyers to the X440 and clear out existing inventory. What remains to be seen is whether there is a variant rejig in the Harley line-up as the Vivid doesn’t seem to be hitting the spot quite as much as the top-spec S trim.
