The latest design patent from Hero MotoCorp shows quite the muscular, and aggressively-designed motorcycle.
Hero MotoCorp has filed the patent for a new sports bike design in India, potentially revealing the upcoming Karizma XMR 250. The design drawings show striking similarities to the Hero 2.5R Xtunt Concept, marking an exciting evolution in the Karizma lineup.
An aggressive fairing design that comes with winglets integrated into it, along with USD fork and a monoshock absorber can be gauged from the design patent. While some of the design elements are familiar with the current Karizma XMR 210. The new design further incorporates the concept bike's signature fuel tank, tail section, and front fender styling – however, the unique bodywork does sets it apart from its 210 cc sibling.
At the heart of this new machine is expected to be a 250 cc liquid-cooled engine that debuted with the 2.5R Xtunt Concept. While exact performance figures remain under wraps, given the increased capacity, the power output will surpass the current Hero Karizma XMR 210’s 25.15 bhp/ 20.4 Nm output. We expect the engine will come paired with a six-speed transmission.
The development comes as Hero seeks to rejuvenate the Karizma brand, following poorsales of the current Karizma XMR 210. Hero MotoCorp might debut the new bike at 2024 EICMA, followed by an India launch most probably in 2025.
