The Ye Series of EVs will make their global debut at the Beijing Motor Show later this month.
Honda has previewed three new electric vehicles (EVs) under the Ye Series, ahead of their global debut at the Beijing International Automotive Exhibition later this month. Two of these three, Ye P7 and Ye S7, will go on sale in China before the end of this year. The third, the Ye GT Concept, will spawn another set of electric models that will go on sale in China before the end of 2025.
The Ye P7 and Ye S7 are two compact SUVs based on a newly developed platform dedicated to EVs. They will get two powertrains – a single-motor, rear-wheel drive and a dual-motor, all-wheel drive configuration. Honda says the former was designed with sporty intentions and will have crisp handling. On the other hand, the dual-motor configuration has been designed to offer high power and good handling characteristics.

As of now, Honda has only released images of the exterior of the Ye P7 and Ye S7. However, it says that both models will have spacious interiors, an AI-powered assistant and LED ambient lighting.
Both the SUVs have their own distinctive front-end design. While the Ye P7 gets C-shaped headlamps with C-shaped LED DRLs, the Ye S7 gets Y-shaped LED DRLs in a Y-shaped headlamp housing. Honda has not yet shared images of the rear of the two EVs but the images show they will have different taillamp designs. They also share the same design from the front axle onwards, with both having the same alloy wheel design.
The Ye GT Concept looks like a squished Ye S7 as it has a coupe-like roofline. Honda says that the Ye GT Concept has been designed keeping a “low and wide” silhouette in mind and because of that, the driver will have an immersive driving experience. The Ye GT Concept’s front passenger will also get a new kind of display which Honda calls a ‘far-focus display’. Honda says this display will give viewers an “experience as if viewing a large screen” and it will incorporate this technology in its future models.
