This achievement comes soon after the Honda Activa reached its 10 million sales milestone in South India.
Spearheading Honda’s two-wheeler sales in South India is Karnataka, where the marque has just surpassed the 5 million sales milestone. The Honda Activa and the Shine 125 were the two products that primarily drove sales in the state. Coupled with Honda’s extensive 400+ service network and showroom – the latest achievement just underscored the state’s preference for a two-wheeler brand in India. Moreover, this new achievement came a few weeks after Honda Activa surpassed its 10 million sales milestone in the country.
Speaking on the occasion of this latest achievement Yogesh Mathur, Director, Sales & Marketing, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India, said, “We are incredibly grateful to our customers in Karnataka for their trust in Brand Honda & helping us reach the 5 million milestone. This achievement motivates us to continue pushing boundaries and enriching the lives of millions across India. We sincerely thank all the stakeholders for their continued support. Their trust inspires us to keep advancing on our path of excellence, delivering even greater value to all.”
Last week also saw Honda launch its latest flex-fuel bike based on its 300 cc naked sport bike, the CB300F. Making it the only bike in India that can run on E80 fuel (i.e. fuel with 80 per cent Ethanol mix). As unique as a product it is, like all Japanese two-wheeler manufacturers in the country, even Honda has been aloof from the EV race. However, things are about to change in the following months. Reports have already surfaced that the Activa will be relaunched next year in a new electric avatar. While Honda is yet to announce the same officially, the necessary tasks that come with launching a new product, have already commenced. To learn more about the same, head to the link here.
