Interestingly, apart from the Executive trim where the petrol and diesel variants have a gap of ₹1 lakh, prices for the remaining trims are identical despite the different engines. The buyers will have an easier choice deciding between petrol and diesel powertrains as the choice will now boil down to the preference of the fuel.
The Alcazar facelift continues to rival the MG Hector Plus (₹17.30 - 22.93 lakh), Mahindra XUV700 (₹14.49 - 24.99 lakh) and Tata Safari (₹15.49 - 25.59 lakh). Of the lot, the Mahindra XUV700 has the lowest starting price and the Tata Safari has the highest top-end price. The Alcazar facelift’s starting price is only ₹50,000 dearer than that of the XUV700 and it is also the most affordable at the higher end.
