The Hyundai Creta Electric was recently revealed and the brand has also revealed the names of the trims of the electric SUV as well as its colours. The Creta Electric will get four trims and 10 exterior colour options. Furthermore, pre-bookings for the Creta Electric have also begun and it can be booked by paying a token amount of ₹25,000. It is expected to be launched on January 17 at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025.
The four trims of the Creta Electric are Executive, Smart, Premium and Excellence. As of now, Hyundai India has only opened the pre-bookings for nine variants of the Creta Electric– Smart, Smart (O), Smart (O) (HC), Smart (O) LR, Smart (O) LR (HC), Premium, Premium (HC), Excellence LR and Excellence LR (HC). The LR in the variant names stands for Long Range, while (HC) could stand for Home Charger.
The Creta Electric gets eight single-tone and two dual-tone colour options. The latter includes Ocean Blue Metallic and Atlas White, with both getting a black roof. The single-tone options include Abyss Black Pearl, Atlas White, Fiery Red Pearl, Starry Night, Ocean Blue Metallic, Ocean Blue Matte, Titan Grey Matte and Robust Emerald Matte. Ocean Blue Metallic is a new colour for Hyundai which debuts with the Creta Electric.
Hyundai’s third electric vehicle (EV) is the Creta Electric which is set to cater to a wider audience than the Ioniq 5 and the now-discontinued Kona EV. It is expected to be priced around ₹20 - 30 lakh (ex-showroom, India) and will rival the likes of the MG ZS EV, Mahindra BE 6, Tata Curvv.ev and the upcoming Maruti Suzuki e Vitara.
The Creta Electric will come with two battery packs—51.4 kWh and 42 kWh—with a claimed range of up to 473 km with the former and 390 km with the latter. It also has vehicle-to-load (V2L) functionality, active air flaps in the front bumper, and single-pedal driving functionality. It also gets new 17-inch aero-designed alloy wheels.
