The Creta EV has a design similar to the Creta facelift sold in India.
After launching the facelifted Creta and the Creta N Line, Hyundai is now shifting its focus to the all-electric version of the Creta. New, heavily camouflaged spy shots of the Creta EV have emerged from South Korea, showing a near production-ready version of the electric compact SUV.
Hyundai is expected to launch the Creta EV in India first – towards the end of this year – since it seems to be based on the Creta facelift in India. Notably, the Creta has a different design in India compared to global markets.

The spy shots show the Creta EV to have similar lighting signatures to the Creta facelift in India. It can also be seen with a closed-off panel instead of a front grille, similar to other Hyundai ICE-to-EVs like the Kona Electric. A bigger differentiator between the Creta ICE and Creta EV is the 17-inch aero-designed alloy wheels. The Creta EV will also likely have its charging port mounted in the front bumper, akin to the Kona Electric.
The Creta EV will likely have its interior and features list similar to the Creta ICE, but could also get some EV-specific bits. Expect it to come with features like two 10.25-inch screens for the infotainment and driver’s display, a 360-degree camera, six airbags, a wireless charger, an air purifier, ventilated front seats and an ADAS suite.
Hyundai has been extremely tight-lipped about the specifications of the Creta EV. It is expected to get a battery pack of up to 50 kWh and have a claimed range of around 450 km on a full charge.

Once launched, the Creta EV should compete with the MG ZS EV, and Tata Harrier.ev, Tata Curvv.ev, Mahindra XUV400, Mahindra XUV.e8 and the upcoming Honda Elevate EV. As for the pricing, expect the Creta EV to be priced north of ₹20 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
