Facelift expected with renewed style and advanced features

Hyundai is set to unveil the facelifted version of its Creta SUV on January 16, 2024, marking its global debut. The subsequent market launch is expected to follow soon, bringing a renewed look and added features to the Creta lineup.

The Indian variant of the Hyundai Creta facelift will feature unique exterior styling, departing from its current design. Spy shots hint at significant changes in both front and rear aesthetics, aligning it more closely with Hyundai's latest models.

Key design elements include an updated bumper, a revamped tailgate, and LED Daytime Running Lights inspired by the Exter sub-compact SUV. The front will feature a split-unit vertical headlamp design and an updated grille. Side profiles may undergo minor tweaks and new alloy wheel designs.

The refreshed Creta is set to receive an Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) package and a 360-degree camera, akin to features found in the Seltos. The interior, though not undergoing major changes, is expected to feature new upholstery shades and subtle modifications. The existing 10.25-inch infotainment screen is likely to continue.

Under the hood, the Hyundai Creta facelift will introduce a 160 bhp, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine, shared with the Seltos. Transmission options include a 7-speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) and a manual gearbox. The lineup will retain the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel engine, both generating 115 bhp.

The facelifted Creta is expected to hit the Indian market in early 2024, intensifying competition in its segment. Rivals include the Kia Seltos, Honda Elevate, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, and MG Astor. Hyundai's three-row variant, the Alcazar, is also anticipated to receive a facelift after the Creta's market launch.
