The Hyundai Exter boasts a unique design with H-shaped front DRLs, a distinctive grille, and DRL headlamps. The SUV features a rugged appeal with a faux front bumper and ample black cladding. Its boxy stance adds to its robustness.
The side profile showcases an upright stance, dual-tone alloy wheels, and generous use of black cladding. The rear design continues the muscular and bold look, with well-defined cuts, H-shaped tail lamps connected by a black strip, and faux rear bumpers with skid plates. The Exter's compact size and attention to detail create a visually appealing micro-SUV.
The interior of the Hyundai Exter adopts design cues from the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, featuring an all-black theme. It offers a range of features, including an 8-inch touchscreen, a 3.5-inch driver's display, an electric sunroof, automatic climate control, a wireless charger, and cruise control. The higher trims of the Exter are equipped with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay integration, BlueLink Connected Car Tech, rear AC vents, automatic headlamps, and fast USB chargers. These features enhance the comfort, convenience, and connectivity options within the Exter's cabin.
The Hyundai Exter is powered by a reliable 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol engine, delivering 82 bhp and 114 Nm of peak torque. It can be mated to either a 5-speed manual transmission or an AMT unit. Although it lacks a turbo-petrol engine, the Exter offers a CNG variant with a 1.2L petrol + CNG engine producing 68 bhp and 95 Nm of torque. The CNG version is available with a manual gearbox.
The Hyundai Exter features a voice-enabled dashcam with dual cameras, offering front and rear recording capabilities. The dash cam is equipped with smartphone app connectivity and multiple recording modes. Safety is prioritized in the Exter, with 26 safety features available across all variants and optional on-entry trims. These include ESC, VSM, Hill Assist Control, three-point seat belts with seatbelt reminders for all seats, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, a burglar alarm, and more. Additionally, the Exter is equipped with ISOFIX, a rear defogger, a rear parking camera, and a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) are all part of the higher trims.
