Hyundai India sold nearly 3.84 lakh units during this period.
Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) posted revenue of ₹34,604 crore between April and September 2024. Furthermore, Hyundai India sold nearly 3.84 lakh units during the aforementioned period.
The brand’s revenue saw a dip of almost two per cent, compared to the same period last year when it earned more than ₹35,283 crore. Hyundai India’s Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortization (EBITDA) margins increased to 13.14 per cent, compared to the 12.58 per cent margin in April - September 2023.
Hyundai India’s 3.84 lakh unit sales include 2.99 lakh sales in the domestic market, which included a strong contribution from its SUVs. Hyundai India has exported almost 85,000 units in this period.
In the quarter between July and September 2024, Hyundai India sold nearly two lakh units, with almost 1.5 lakh units sold in the domestic market and 42,300 units exported. Again, SUVs had a strong contribution to these sales figures. During this quarter, Hyundai India’s revenue stood at ₹17,260 crore. This is 7.5 per cent lower than ₹18,659 crore revenue it earned during the quarter in 2023.
Unsoo Kim, Managing Director, Hyundai India, “Despite the sluggish market conditions, we have successfully maintained profitability in H1 FY 2024-25, largely due to our proactive and continuous cost control measures. Further, we will be launching the Creta EV for mass market in the coming months and we expect it will be a game changer in the EV market."
