Despite being shorter in length, the Inster has a 135 mm longer wheelbase than the Punch.ev. The Punch.ev is 32 mm longer, 132 mm wider and 58 mm taller than the Inster. The longer wheelbase should help the Inter to have more legroom inside, but the extra width of the Punch.ev should make it seem more spacious inside.
While the Inster has a 280-litre boot, Hyundai says it can be increased to up to 351 litres with the sliding rear seats set in their most forward position. However, the Punch.ev still gets a larger boot, with an additional 15 litres of space.

The Standard variant of the Inster makes more power than the Punch.ev MR. The Hyundai EV develops 95 bhp and 147 Nm, while the Tata Motors EV develops 80 bhp and 114 Nm. However, it is the other way round for both the long-range variants. The Inster churns out 113 bhp and 147 Nm and the Punch.ev produces 121 bhp and 190 Nm.
