Luxury Meets Lethality: The Latest Security Weapon for the Elite
India's high-risk individuals now have a new option for armored transportation with the arrival of the BMW 7 Series Protection. This specially designed vehicle boasts VR9-level bulletproof protection and blast resistance, offering unparalleled security for those facing potential threats.
Under the hood lies a powerful 4.4 litre, V8 engine churning out 530 bhp and 750 Nm, ensuring swift escapes when needed. This BMW can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 6.6 seconds. It can comfortably maintain its top speed of 209 kmph, ensuring a thrilling driving experience on the road.
Achieving VR9-level protection for a vehicle is a significant accomplishment. The 7 Series Protection vehicle has undergone major changes to provide this high level of security, starting with its core. The vehicle features a protective shell made of 10 mm ballistic steel and thick, multi-layered bullet-resistant glazing for the windows. The underbody is also reinforced with additional armor. The glass windows are classified as VPAM 10, offering the highest level of civilian vehicle protection. Furthermore, the armored structure can be upgraded to provide VPAM 10 protection as an option.
For those facing specific dangers, the 7 Series Protection offers a range of customisation options, including Michelin-sourced 255-740 R510 tyres with a thicker sidewall for added durability. Additionally, the vehicle features a self-sealing fuel tank and run-flat tyres, enabling it to travel approximately 30 km at speeds up to 80 kmph even after full pressure loss.
The luxury sedan maintains the elegant appearance of a standard 7 Series vehicle, with four exterior colour options available: Oxide Grey, Brooklyn Grey, Deep Grey, Adventurine Red, and Pure Grey. Inside, passengers are pampered with luxurious features like a Bowers & Wilkins sound system, heated and ventilated seats, and even an optional cooling box for on-the-go refreshment.
While the exact price remains undisclosed, industry estimates suggest a staggering ₹ 15 crore, putting it far beyond the reach of most. This hefty price tag positions the 7 Series Protection as an exclusive offering for India's ultra-wealthy and high-profile individuals. The 7 Series Protection vehicle offers customisation options to meet your specific safety requirements. You can personalise it with features like a fresh-air supply system, a fire extinguishing system, flashing lights, and radio transceivers. Additionally, flag poles are available for official use when the vehicle is on duty, ensuring it meets your safety needs effectively.
The 7 Series Protection joins established players like the Audi A8L Security and the Range Rover Sentinel in the Indian armored vehicle market. BMW's reputation for luxury and performance, coupled with its extensive experience in building security vehicles, makes the 7 Series Protection a formidable contender.
