Indofast Energy partners Quantum Energy to launch ₹57,750 Bziness XS e-scooter with battery swapping; targets 10,000 units in three years using the existing 1,100+ station network.
Indofast Energy, a joint venture between IndianOil and SUN Mobility, has tied up with Quantum Energy to introduce the Bziness XS electric scooter equipped with battery-swapping capability. Priced at ₹57,750 (ex-showroom) under the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model, the scooter targets daily commuters, gig workers, and small fleet operators.
Customers can opt for energy plans starting at ₹999 per month or EMI options from ₹1,499. The arrangement removes the need to purchase the battery outright and eliminates charging downtime, with swaps completed in under two minutes at any of Indofast’s existing 1,100-plus swap stations across 22 cities.
The companies plan to deploy 1,000 units through the Indofast network in FY 2025-26, scaling up to 10,000 vehicles over the next three years. Indofast states its network has already facilitated over 43 million swaps, covering 1.17 billion kilometres till date.
Anant Badjatya, CEO, Indofast Energy, said the partnership aims to shift battery swapping from a largely B2B service to mainstream individual use, making it faster than refuelling or charging. Chakravarthi C, Managing Director, Quantum Energy, added that the collaboration addresses the growing demand for high-uptime, low-cost electric two-wheelers in both personal and commercial segments.
The Bziness XS has been designed for Indian road conditions and is positioned as a practical, entry-level electric scooter. The tie-up expands Indofast’s reach beyond fleet customers into the consumer segment while leveraging Quantum’s manufacturing and distribution network.
Indofast Energy currently operates more than 1,100 swap stations and handles over 1.4 million swaps monthly. Quantum Energy manufactures electric two-wheelers focused on commuting and light commercial applications.
