The Nexon could get a panoramic sunroof as a response to the Mahindra XUV 3XO.
As a reaction to the revised competition, Tata Motors is repeatedly working on adding a panoramic sunroof in the Nexon. A video has surfaced online that shows the Tata Nexon with the panoramic sunroof inside the factory. Recently, Tata Motors also introduced new lower-end variants of the Nexon to bring its starting price closer to the Mahindra XUV 3XO.

According to the video, not much has changed in the Nexon apart from the addition of the panoramic sunroof. The addition of the panoramic sunroof should help increase the airiness feeling inside the cabin. Expect the panoramic sunroof to be limited to the top-spec variants, while the lower variants should continue with the single-pane sunroof. Furthermore, the Nexon.ev could also get the panoramic sunroof sometime in the future.

Adding a panoramic sunroof requires quite a few structural and engineering changes to the Nexon. However, this could indicate that Tata Motors was already working on adding the panoramic sunroof to the Nexon and just moved up the timeline as a response to the Mahindra XUV 3XO’s sunroof.

Tata Motors could also add more features to the Nexon down the line, to bring it closer to the competition. Expect Tata Motors to add ADAS to the Nexon as now along with the XUV 3XO, the Venue and Sonet also get this driver assistance feature.

Currently, the Nexon is a feature-rich SUV with tech like a 10.25-inch touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a wireless charger, cruise control, ventilated front seats and more. Safety features include 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, 360-degree camera, ESC and tyre pressure monitoring system.

Powering the Nexon are a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. Tata Motors is also expected to launch a CNG variant of the Nexon and that is expected to arrive sometime later this year.
