Isuzu Motors India has doubled its production capacity for vehicles and engines over the last two years.

Isuzu Motors India has achieved a significant milestone, producing one lakh vehicles at its manufacturing facility in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh. The landmark vehicle was the Isuzu D-Max V-Cross. Isuzu Motors India established its Sri City facility in 2016, marking the company’s entry into the Indian market. In 2020, the company commenced phase II operations, including the inauguration of a modern press shop and engine assembly plant. These developments have significantly enhanced Isuzu’s production capabilities, with over 1.4 million pressed parts manufactured at the facility to date.

Rajesh Mittal, President and Managing Director of Isuzu Motor India, said, “At Isuzu Motors India, we take immense pride in our journey here in India. Over the years, the company has achieved significant milestones in both production and exports. As we continue to grow, we remain committed to providing products and services of the highest level of quality in India and in the overseas market.”

Driven by rising demand, Isuzu Motors India has doubled its production capacity for vehicles and engines over the last two years. A notable aspect of its operations is its workforce composition: 22 per cent of its production line employees are women, and 100 per cent of its workforce comprises diploma engineers.

Beyond manufacturing, Isuzu Motors India has made strides in increasing its presence across the country. The company plans to further expand its network of touchpoints to ensure a seamless ownership experience for its customers.
