Stellantis India will hike prices by up to 0.5 per cent, owing to rising input costs.
Stellantis India, the parent company of Citroën and Jeep, has announced a price hike of up to 0.5 per cent. Citroën India’s entire line-up gets the price hike, while only the Jeep Compass and Meridian’s prices have been increased. The new prices will come into effect from April 30, 2024.
The price hike of Citroën and Jeep India models will range between ₹4,000 and ₹17,000, depending on the model. Stellantis says the prices are being hiked in response to increasing input costs and operational expenses. This is the second time in 2024 that Stellantis has hiked the prices of models from both its brands in India.
In a press statement, Stellantis said, “The modest price adjustment reflects the current economic realities and enables the company to continue delivering innovative vehicles to its valued customers. Stellantis remains committed to delivering high-quality vehicles to its customers while ensuring the sustainability and competitiveness of its operations.”
Citroën India currently has the C3, ë-C3, C3 Aircross and C5 Aircross in its portfolio. It also revealed its upcoming coupe SUV, the Basalt, that will be launched later this year. Jeep India also has four models in its portfolio which includes the Compass, Meridian, Wrangler and Grand Cherokee, two of which are getting a facelift this year.
