Both the Kawasaki hybrid motorcycles are already sold in European, UK, and the USA markets. In the Japanese market, both the bikes were intially slated for launch next month on June 15. While a new launch date is yet to be fixed, Kawasaki has assured its fans in Japan that the information will be shared soon.
Both the Kawasaki Ninja 7 and Z7 are powered by the the 451 cc, parallel-twin engine that is paired to a 9 kW electric motor and a 48-volt battery pack. The combined output of this system is rated at 58 bhp, which can be further bumped up to 69 bhp, courtesy of the e-Boost mode. To tap the full potential of the hybrid system, Kawasaki also offers three ride modes – EV, Eco Hybrid and Sport Hybrid.
While the full-colour TFT screen in both motorcycles has been borrowed from the Ninja e-1. The hybrid duo also features a full-LED lighting system, walk mode (limp mode), dual-channel ABS, and smartphone connectivity.
While we can’t say anything for sure as of yet, the design patents of both the Kawasaki Ninja 7 and Z7 have already been trademarked in our country. So, India cannot be completely negated.
