The special paint scheme might evoke memories of the classic Kawasaki livery
In the United States, Kawasaki has officially released the 2024 Ninja ZX-10R in a brand-new trim known as the 40th Anniversary Edition. Here's a detailed look at what this special edition model has to offer.
The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R 40th Anniversary Edition carries a price tag of $ 19,149 in the US market, which translates to roughly ₹ 15.93 lakh before taxes. To provide context, the standard model is available in India at a price of ₹ 16.47 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
It showcases the iconic Lime Green, Pearl Crystal White, and blue color scheme. The new paint scheme gives the bike a retro vibe that’s oh so cool and tempting! Apart from the colours this special edition has a lot in common with the standard model. This includes design, hardware, features, and the engine.
Powering the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R 40th Anniversary Edition is a 998cc inline four-cylinder liquid-cooled motor. It’s among the most powerful bikes on sale as power output is 221bhp and torque figure stands at 114.9Nm. It's connected to a slick six-speed gearbox, which also has a quickshifter for clutchless shifts. Additionally, the Ninja ZX-10R 40th Anniversary Edition is equipped with a range of rider aids, such as cruise control, engine brake control, launch control, cornering management function, power modes, and ABS.
The ZX-10R features 43mm USD balance-free fork that offer adjustment options for rebound, compression damping, and spring preload. At the rear, it's equipped with a gas-charged monoshock. When it comes to braking, the bike is equipped with dual 330mm front discs and a single 220mm rear disc, all supported by an anti-lock braking system (ABS). These braking components are fitted on 17-inch wheels and come with 120/70 front and 190/55 rear tyres. It will be interesting to see whether Kawasaki keeps this special livery specific to the US market or launches it in other markets as well. If it does offer this variant globally, then it could make its India debut next year.
