Kia India has a busy 2025. It started the year with the new Syros, then the EV6 facelift and now it seems to be readying the Carens facelift too. While it is not the first time the facelifted MPV has been spotted testing in India, the latest spy shots reveal that it could get a feature most Indians love.
The Carens facelift could get the much-loved panoramic sunroof that most Indians adore. While the current model does get a single-pane unit, giving the facelift a panoramic unit will take things up a notch, making it the only MPV in the segment to get a sunroof (either single-pane or panoramic).
Other features the Carens facelift will get are ADAS, LED headlights and taillights, LED DRLs, 360-degree camera and more. It will also get all the features the current Carens has, such as a 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen, a 10.25-inch virtual instrument cluster, a 10.1-inch rear seat entertainment screen, BOSE-tuned audio system and more.
The Carens is also expected to come with six airbags, stability control, hill start assist, parking sensors, and three-point seatbelts with reminders for all seats as standard.
Under the hood, the Carens facelift is expected to continue with the same options. It is likely to come with a 1.5-litre petrol, a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel engine options mated to either a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed iMT, 6-speed automatic or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic.
The Carens facelift is likely to debut later this year, followed by the Carens EV. The Carens is currently priced at ₹10.60 - 19.64 lakh (ex-showroom, India) and the facelift is expected to have a decent premium as it will come with many new features.
