The company has also crossed the 15 lakh sales milestone since its inception in India seven years ago.

Kia India has announced sales of 27,286 passenger cars in April 2026, its best-ever April volume. This is a wholesale figure. With this, the company has also crossed the 15 lakh sales milestone since its inception in India seven years ago.

The 27,286 units sold wholesale in April mark a 16 percent year-on-year growth, compared to the 23,623 units sold in April 2025.

Kia India has also provided an update for its year-to-date sales, which now stand at 111,611 units which is also a 13 percent uplift over the 99,199 units it managed to sell by this time last year.

The company says customers have expressed a preference for its mass-premium offerings, choosing feature-rich models with safety credentials as well as connected mobility solutions.

In a statement, Kia India Senior Vice President – Sales & Marketing Atul Sood said, “Our highest-ever April performance builds on the steady growth we have seen over the past several months. This momentum is being led by the new Kia Seltos, with Sonet and Carens along with Clavis continuing to strengthen our presence across key segments through ongoing enhancements. The expansion of our service network further reflects our focus on improving accessibility and delivering seamless ownership experience to customers.”

The recently updated Seltos was Kia’s best-selling model last month and the month before that, with the company attributing this to its design, features and five-star BNCAP rating. While it hasn’t provided specifics, it sold over 10,000 units of both the Seltos and the Sonet, reflecting strong demand in the compact and subcompact SUV segments.

In terms of lifetime sales, Kia India says the Seltos accounts for over 41 percent of its total sales volume while the Sonet contributes 36 percent and the Carens family comes in at 20 percent, leaving just 3 percent for all its other models combined: the Syros, Carnival, EV6 and EV9.

Kia India also announced the opening of its 500th service location in India in April. It now has 891 touchpoints across 396 cities along with 128 Certified Pre-Owned outlets.
