Kia India has achieved a new significant milestone, crossing 2.5 lakh exports of its vehicles. The brand established its presence in India in 2019 and has exported to 100 markets from its facility in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh. While India has been a major export hub for Kia, it has now announced it is going to focus more on the domestic market.
The Seltos has a 59 per cent share of the total exports, with nearly 1.5 lakh units exported since 2019. The Sonet and Carens account for 34 and 7 per cent of the 2,55,133 vehicles Kia India exported respectively. Kia India’s export markets include South Africa, Chile, Paraguay, Latin America among others.

Myung-sik Sohn, Chief Sales Officer, Kia India said, “We've quickly become a major market for Kia Corporation and aim to maintain this momentum. While our focus is on the domestic market, we plan to keep our exports steady this year.”

Kia India currently has three products in its portfolio – the Seltos, Sonet and Carens. Kia has already confirmed that the Carens EV will be launching in India in 2025 and it is expected to come along with the facelifted version of the MPV. Furthermore, Kia is also expected to launch the facelifted version of the Carnival MPV and the EV9 electric SUV later this year.
