The Syros is Kia’s second subcompact SUV and is expected to be priced between ₹10 - 17 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
Kia India will open the order books for its new subcompact SUV, the Syros, on January 3, 2025. The Syros can be booked by paying a token amount of ₹25,000. Furthermore, Kia India also revealed that it will announce the prices for the Syros on February 1, before the deliveries begin that month.
The new Syros can be booked online, through Kia India’s website, from 12 am (midnight) on January 3, and can also be booked via the physical dealerships once they open on January 3. The Syros is expected to be priced between ₹10 - 17 lakh (ex-showroom, India) and will rival the likes of the Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV 3XO and Skoda Kylaq.
Kia’s second subcompact SUV made its global debut in India in December 2024 and sits between the Sonet and Seltos in the brand’s line-up in India. It comes with a choice of two engines - a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel engine, both mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. While the turbo-petrol gets a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, the diesel gets a 6-speed torque converter automatic.
Inside, the Kia Syros gets a triple-screen layout with two 12.3-inch screens (one for the infotainment and one for the virtual cluster) and one 5-inch panel for the HVAC controls. The Syros also gets a new steering wheel, like the one on the new EV9. Furthermore, the Syros also has front and rear ventilated seats, a panoramic sunroof, a 360-degree camera, and ADAS.
