The electric two-wheeler company further clarified that it is not looking to manufacture an electric motorcycle at all.
Fresh from reviving the iconic Lunaearlier this year with the e-Luna, Kinetic Energy is now working on expanding its product portfolio that will see the brand introduce an electric family scooter. We had already spotted this upcoming electric scooter exclusively, the details for which you can read here.
Work for the same has already commenced and it will hit the Indian market in the next 18 months. The upcoming family electric scooter is being developed as part of the company’s Vision 3.0 program, which will focus on capturing scale. Therefore, besides expanding its portfolio, Kinetic Energy will also focus on expanding its production capacity.
With the upcoming family scooter, Kinetic Energy’s founder and CEO Sulajja Firodia Motwani confirmed that it will be aimed at the urban market. Consequently, it will also be positioned alongside the e-Luna.

While details about this upcoming scooter are still limited, Motwani further confirmed that Kinetic Energy will not enter the fast-expanding electric motorcycle segment at all. One prime reason is that the public perception of motorcycles from Kinetic does not sit favourably, and the brand is more about scooters and the Luna brand.
Kinetic Energy is currently working on targeting a topline of ₹10,000 crore by 2030 out of which company expects that 60 per cent of the revenue will come from its two-wheeler business. Earlier last month, Kinetic Energy secured a $25 million investment from private equity firm Greater Pacific Capital (GPC) as part of its $40 million Series A round. This investment will further be used to expand its manufacturing facility in Supa, Maharashtra, and enhance marketing, distribution, and R&D efforts as well.
